Best Rpg Games Ever

As many of you all know Rpg games have been coming out a lot lately and I want to ask what you all think is the Best RPG Game Ever plus leave the system the game comes out on cause others might want to check these games out

There really isn't any "Best RPG Ever" in my opinion, just the ones that stand out the most, and play well. If you ask me what to recommend, I'd say...

- The World Ends With You (DS)
- Any Legend of Zelda game for N64, GC or Wii (don't bother with the handhelds)
- Elder Scrolls III and IV (PC)
- Resident Evil 4 (More of a shooter, but has a lot of rpg elements)\
- Final Fantasy Tactics (all three of em)

Alright since this is my forte.......
Some of my Favorites include also the best...in my honest opinion.
-Tales of Series(MANY SYSTEMS)
They're a great group of games with lovable characters and an impressive Action-RPG Battle system.

-Star Ocean Series((PS2, PSP, Xbox360(eww)))
This is the cousin to the Tales Series when it comes to the battle system...but you can think of it like this.
Star Ocean is actually the original and Tales follows. The people who created the FIRST Tales battle system left Namco and made the Tales Series....so basically Star Ocean had the original system.

Kingdom Hearts Series((PS2, PSP, GBA, DS))
It's Final Fantasy and Disney....need I say more?

Final Fantasy Series ((MULTIPLE SYSTEMS))
Again, need I say more?

ANYWAY!!! "Decent" story. Lovable characters.....it's set in the future!!!!
Fun gameplay. Private Actions become closer to your favorite Character.
BUT!!!!! Although Star Ocean gives HELLA info on party member..I feel the main character is left out.

yeah. i love resident evil four..and i hate those type of games..but i must say four is good. also another good rpg

legend of the dragoon. it was on the ps1

What's it about?

umm you play as this guy dart who lost his mom and dad to this thing called the black monster. you obtains these powers to transform into this dragon things(you get cool Armor and wings and special moves) theres more to it

His name is Dart? Lol!
That sound pretty beast.
I can't wait until I learn to make games....

I would say anything square makes is a great rpg but my favorites were the 4 ff7 games

FF7(PS1)
Dirge of cerberus(PS2)
Before the Crisis Game(only relesed in Japan focuses on Zack and the turks)
Crisis Core FF7(PSP)

although the ones mentioned are still good. never played persona though.

Well, these aren't the best, but I think they're up there. The Breath of Fire series.

Maaan. Has anybody heard of Threads of Fate for the PS1? I know I talk about it a lot when it comes to RPGs but that game is a messiah for its time.

Just look it up. Oone of the most underplayed videogames off all time I think. It was overshadowed by games liek FF9 and OoT in it's time. Really, that game is a work of art.

THREADS OF FATE WAS FUCKING AWESOME! I still say LoD and FF9 were still better. But Threads was still awesome. A game i hated with a passion though was Legend of Legaia! both one and 2! THAT GAME WAS FUCKING STUPID AS HELL!

Where you input on the D-pad and do the moves?!
It was an interesting concept, but the game moved along slow, and the maps where really odd.

They should remake it but more.....better?

Tiff: No, it wasn't overshadowed by FF9 and OoT. It was overshadowed by FF7 and Chrono Cross. FF9 and OoT were not created yet, that's too late for Threads of Fate.

I really liked Jade Empire for the xbox it was a great rpg Martial arts game
