I Wants Me a Cyndaquil

I walk around whistling happily in search of a Cyndaquil. Being from such a hot place makes me very comfortable here and the intense heat feel more like a nice summer day. As usual, I have my camera out to take pictures of any pokemon I haven't seen. Teal rides on my shoulders pretty comfortable as well since my aura sucks in the heat, making it cooler around me. She hums as she looks around too.

A wild cyndaquil runs past you and off into some random direction. What will you do?

Teal and I jump in surprise. "What the! Hey! C'mon back little one!" I take off after it. Teal jumps off my shoulder and sends a thunder wave at it.

The unknowing Cyndaquil is paralyzed from the sudden thunderwave, now unable to move. It tries to defend itself still with a Flamethrower from its mouth.

I grab Teal and stick my hand out to absorb the fire. "Oi...Calm down little one. We're not trynna hurt you. Just wanted you to slow down. I'm gonna catch you now ok?" I grab a pokebox and toss it at it.

(Well, darn. DO IT AGAIN).

The Cyndaquil pops out of the ball and somehow manages to stand, despite paralysis. It tries to escape using Quick Attack, however its paralysis kicks in again and it trips and falls. And dies. And burns. Okay, not really the last 2.

I sweatdrop at the Cyndaquil's attempts to escape. "Um...Not happening..." I toss another pokebox at it hoping this one works.

I toss my fist into the air happily as it's caught. "Yatta! Su-go-i desu~!" I pick up the box and look at the Cyndaquil inside. "Hmm...I think I shall name you...Pavefacta...Or Pave for short~." I smile and Teal hops onto my shoulder as we go home.
