In Need of an Enhancement.

"I was wondering, since i'm a big fire and shadow type user, could you somehow infuse my blade, Ashita no Zannen with some of the element Fire?" May pulled out her sword, holding it out before her.

He examines the blade laid out on the table, rubbing his hand on his chin. After a while of inspecting the sword, he responds. "It will need a new hilt, one with a shred of Ruby in it instead. If you provide just a small bit of ruby, then I'll complete this blade."

"hmm..." She said, thinking. Then her face lit up as she thought of something. She looked in her small black leather pouch for a moment, before pulling out a round Ruby stone. "Aha. there it is." She laid it beside the sword. "It used to be from a necklace that my mother gave me. But it broke of from the metal that held it. So, I just carry it around all the time. It would be of better use with my sword."

Sedgar inspects the ruby, making sure it's fit to be forged into the blade. "Fair enough, this should be done fairly soon. If you'll excuse me."

He pulls out a welding mask and torch, and moved to a table further away from Mayumi. He cuts off the handle in one quick motion, and melts it down into a small bowl. He then places the molten metal and the ruby into a mold, forging the new hilt.

He pulls off the mask, and waits for it to cool.

Roughly three hours later, Sedgar opens the mold and sands off the excess metal, examining the new hilt. At the very base where a black circle used to be was Mayumi's ruby. He welded it back onto the blade, and took it to one of his chakra chambers.

There he connected a small, hair-thin line of chakra, and infused small, concentrated amounts of fire energy into the blade, the Ruby itself housing its new chakra signature. Eventually the entire blade had a feint, orange glow in certain places, like an elaborate pattern.

"Completed. Enjoy the blade~"

"Thank you. Your work is exellent." She took back the blade, examining his craftmanship. Her eyes lit up as she saw the ruby in the counter-balance, reliving the day that her mother had given it to her. She looked over the faint orange glowing pattern, apprieciating the skill it took to infuse the chakra with the steel. She sheathed the blade, deciding to examine it more later.
