To say that Van is a shadow would be a perfectly valid statement. Van grew up in another land, not a village but an empire. His father was a very important person, a great general who helped establish his very home empire through sweat and blood shed. It would be no surprise then that Van would have pressure put on him to fill his father's shoes. He was sent to the most expensive military academies since he was just seven years old, and ended up not having much of a childhood. There he trained his body, spirit, and mind, learning numerous strategies of the great warlords before his time. He learned to control the energy his body created so that his powers could manifest to the peak of his body's limit. But best of all was his skill with a blade. He, being an up and coming warlord himself was proficient in all weapons, but his masters said that watching him with a blade was like watching Mozart compose an orchestra: every stroke calculated, every cut beautiful.

He finally left his military academy on his twentieth birthday, but he did not receive a warm welcome. Van worked all his life to get his father's approval, but still his father did not see him as a man, instead a useless child. Six months later Van's father died, and due to his mother dying when he was 10, he was the only Firth left alive. He couldn't handle staying where his father trotted and decidedly shortly afterwords to leave entirely. He packed some camping supplies, his father's best sword, and the carried the only thing he knew with him: how to fight. His journey wasn't to something, but to get away. Away from his father's madness. Finally a few months later he stumbled upon a village he felt had interesting units, the Village of Nightmares.

Van's appearance is very stark. He wears his hair very short to his head, his bangs hanging to the midway to his forehead. He wears a green cavalry military uniform which he keeps clean every day. On his back are all the supplies he's been using to live off the land. On his hip is his father's sword. It's a silver colored saber with a matching silver sheath. Upon the blade is a golden decoration bestowed upon only great warriors. The guard is large one which covers the hand and protects it from any strikes to the hand. On his belt is a standard issue dagger and his most prized summoning scrolls.

*sniffles* This is a short sad bio....beautiful writing though. "Like watching Mozart compose an orchestra".
